At a glance

TrueEyed Jack processes video on your device. The app never sends your media files to us. We don’t require an account and we don’t sell personal information.

The sections below give the details.

This Privacy Policy describes how we handle information when you use our website and our apps (including TrueEyed Jack Video Compression and future True Eyed Jack products), unless a product posts a separate notice.

Our approach matches how we build software: local first. Always intelligent. We design so your media stays on your device unless you choose to send it somewhere—for example with the system Share sheet, export, or an email you write to support. Choosing to send media does not mean the app uploads it to us.

The app itself never transmits your media files to TRUE EYED JACK LLC.

1. Who we are

TRUE EYED JACK LLC is a software studio based in the United States. We build practical apps for web, mobile, and desktop.

We do not sell personal information.

2. Scope

This policy covers:

  • Our website at trueeyedjack.com
  • Our iOS, iPadOS, and (when released) Mac apps under the True Eyed Jack brand

It does not cover Apple’s own practices (App Store, Apple ID, device settings, or analytics Apple controls). Those are governed by Apple’s policies and your Apple ID / device choices.

3. What our apps do with your media

TrueEyed Jack Video Compression (and similar local tools we ship) is designed so that your media never leaves your device through our app or through servers we operate.

In particular:

  • All compression and related processing runs entirely on your device.
  • The app does not upload, transmit, sync, stream, or proxy your videos, photos, or project files to TRUE EYED JACK LLC, to any server we operate, or to any service we control.
  • In normal use of the app, we never receive your media files—not temporarily, not for processing, not for storage. There is no copy on our side, no processing queue on our infrastructure, and no media library we operate.
  • If you use the system share sheet, export, or save features, any transfer is initiated by you to a destination you choose (for example your own Messages, Mail, Files, or a cloud account you control). That is between you and that destination—not a send to us.

Access to photos, videos, or files on the device is only so the app can work locally with content you select. Granting on-device permission does not mean we obtain a copy of that content.

Summary

The app never sends your media files anywhere other than processing on your device and destinations you explicitly direct (for example via Share). The app never sends your media to us.

4. Data we do not collect

Through normal use of our apps, we do not:

  • Receive your video or photo files
  • Upload or hold your media on our systems—even briefly
  • Require an account or login for core app use
  • Receive your name, email, or Apple ID from Apple for standard App Store purchases
  • Sell personal information
  • Use third-party advertising or cross-app tracking SDKs

We do not operate a customer database of App Store buyers. Apple processes purchases; we receive aggregate sales and financial reports, not your full payment card details.

5. Information we may process

Depending on how you interact with us, limited information may be involved. None of the following changes Section 3: the app itself never sends us your media.

A. Support email (including optional troubleshooting files)

If you email support@trueeyedjack.com, we receive whatever you include (your email address, message text, and any attachments).

  • Prefer a text description of the problem plus screenshots of settings or error messages when those do not show personal, private, or sensitive content.
  • If a screenshot would reveal personal, private, or sensitive content, a description alone is enough—omit or crop the screenshot.
  • Do not send personal, private, or sensitive videos—for example family moments, client work, medical or confidential content, or anything you would not want a stranger to see.
  • If a clip is needed to reproduce a bug, you may voluntarily attach a non-sensitive sample only (a short test recording or other media you are comfortable sharing). We may also ask for such a sample; you can decline and we will try to help from a description and (when safe) screenshots alone.
  • If you attach a media file for support:
    • That file is not collected by the app. It is something you send as a message outside normal app use.
    • We will use it only to diagnose and resolve your support request.
    • We will not use it for marketing, product demos to others, training public models, or any purpose unrelated to your request.
    • We will delete it when troubleshooting is finished (or sooner if you ask). We do not keep a permanent library of customer media.

B. Website and hosting

Our site is delivered with standard web infrastructure (DNS, static hosting, and/or CDN). Those providers may process routine technical data such as IP address, browser type, timestamps, and requested URLs for security, reliability, and basic operations. We do not use that data to build advertising profiles, and we do not run marketing trackers or ad pixels on the site for selling personal information.

C. App Store and Apple

Payments, refunds, and distribution go through Apple. Apple may provide us with aggregated analytics or crash-related information under Apple’s rules and the user’s device / App Store settings. We do not require a separate third-party analytics or crash SDK for normal operation. If that ever changes, we will update this policy.

D. What we do not do with the above

We do not sell this information. We do not use support contacts to build a marketing list of App Store customers.

6. Third parties

Party Role
Apple App distribution, payments, optional developer analytics/diagnostics under Apple’s systems
Hosting, DNS, and email providers Deliver the website and support email

We do not embed third-party ad networks or social tracking pixels in our apps or marketing site for the purpose of selling or brokering personal data.

7. Children

Our products are general-audience tools. They are not designed or marketed as products directed to children under 13.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Because core app use is account-free and media is not sent to us by the app, we do not receive children’s videos through the app in ordinary use.

If you believe a child under 13 has sent us personal information (for example by email), contact support@trueeyedjack.com and we will delete it when we become aware of it.

Parents and guardians control what is installed on a device. Our tools may be used on family devices like other utilities; that does not mean we operate a children’s online service under COPPA.

If we ever offer a product directed to children or knowingly collect children’s personal information, we will update this policy and follow applicable requirements, including parental consent where required.

8. Your choices

  • Device permissions: Deny or revoke Photos, Files, or similar access in system Settings; the app may then be limited or unable to process media.
  • Apple analytics / diagnostics: Controlled in your Apple ID and device settings where Apple offers those choices.
  • Support data: Email us about a message you sent; we can delete support correspondence and any attachments you provided where practical.
  • App Store purchases: Managed through Apple (including Family Sharing, where Apple provides it).

Privacy questions or requests: support@trueeyedjack.com.

9. Data security

Because the app does not send your media to us, there is no library of customer videos on our systems to breach. For support email and ordinary business systems, we rely on reputable providers and reasonable access controls. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure.

10. International users

We are based in the United States (Indiana). If you use our site or apps from elsewhere, information you send us (such as support email) may be processed in the United States.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Please review the revised policy when the date changes. If we make material changes to how we handle personal information, we will reflect them here when they take effect.
