About True Eyed Jack
Local first. Always intelligent.
True Eyed Jack builds software that respects where work actually happens: on the device in your hand, on the machine on your desk, and in the cloud when the upside of remote compute outweighs the cost.
The bias is simple: local first, always intelligent. Use the latest tools when they help. Prefer local compute, storage, and control when they do the job better — smaller risk surface, fewer surprises on bad Wi‑Fi, data that stays put unless you choose otherwise. Cloud is a tool in the kit—not a hammer that turns every problem into a nail.
The first product is TrueEyed Jack Video Compression — practical video tooling for people who shoot, share, and ship media without wanting a science project. Compression runs entirely on your device. The app does not upload your videos to us or to a cloud we operate; your media stays local unless you share or export it somewhere you choose. No account is required for core use. Details are in our Privacy Policy. More applications will follow the same idea: useful, usable, honest about tradeoffs, and careful with what leaves the device.
Behind the brand are three decades of programming and two decades of data analysis, development, engineering, and architecture. That history isn’t a museum piece; it’s why we care about boring virtues — clear behavior, durable design, and software that still makes sense after the demo.
Most of the work shows up as products. When it helps, True Eyed Jack also partners with others on programming and data projects — the same standards, without the fog machine or a slide deck that is vaporware in landscape mode.
